What is your business? Circle of Sentiments specializes in personalized hand stamped jewelry. Perfect for any proud mama, our “mommy jewelry” is custom made with children’s names, initials or favorite phrases.
Why did you start your business? I always wanted to have my own business. The inspiration for taking action came after I quit my corporate job to be a stay at home mom. I started my first business, an online baby boutique.
One of the many items sold on my site was a line of hand stamped jewelry that I made. Due to the demand and popularity of the hand stamped necklaces, I decided to switch my focus to just jewelry. And thus, Circle
of Sentiments was developed.
How many people are in your organization? 1
What’s the toughest part of operating your business? Balancing family & work.
What’s the most fun part of operating your business? I love meeting other ‘momprenuers.’ It’s amazing to connect with other women who are living the same dream as I am.
Is there anything you would have done differently? Not really. I’m happy with the way things transpired. I started out very small and learned along the way. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve certainly made some mistakes, but I try
to learn from each mistake.
What advice do you have for others just starting their business? Don’t be scared to go for it. You’ll never know if you don’t try.
What person has influenced your business the most and why? My husband. Without his support, I would never be where I am today.
Why do you consider your business to be an online success? I’ve pretty much built my company completely on my own. I knew nothing about building a website, how the retail process really works, SEO, etc. when I first started. Now, I have a successful company with over 30 retailers. For me, that’s a big accomplishment!
